If ever there was a better face to describe what my baby girl was feeling, this is it!
This is my Hayley meeting her brother for the first time.
Wow.
Confusion?
Resentment?
Jealousy?
Scared?
Anxiety?
It was all there.
It has since disappeared but that first meeting wasn't the happiest for that baby girl, especially when her newborn brother started screaming his head off.
Yikes!
In the end, she somewhat forced a smile...
See for yourself...
This is a couple of days later.
Now she begs to hold him.
She cant pass him in the same room and NOT kiss him.
She says, "Oh", and loves on him.
And if he cries, she has to be near making sure he is fine.
If he goes down for a nap, she will search the house looking for him.
She is a great big sister and we are so grateful for her.
Not so much grateful for the time she ripped out his pacifier saying, "Mine" but then chose to give it back and shoved it in his mouth upsidedown (and not very softly).
Or when we catch her drinking his bottles (yuck!) or insisting HE drink his bottles when he doesnt want to.
But we are grateful she means well.
:)
(by the way, dont you LOVE the matching onesies? Target for 98 cents, baby! And very unisex in my opinion)
