She couldnt eat past midnight the night before so we decided to have a party and stay up and feed her a meal at 11:30 so she wouldnt be so angry and hungry the next morning before surgery. She dressed up like Princess Aurora and watched a princess movie (which she didnt approve of so it was changed to Elmo in Grouchland...that's a good princess movie, right?).

Surgery Day!
Hayley had minor surgery to help her tear ducts drain properly. Her surgery last year wasnt successful so this year, they places tubes in her nasal passage to open up her tear ducts and hopefully correct the problem. She was under anesthesia for almost an hour and had iv pain meds to help (so sad!). We had to be in recovery for 45 minutes and make sure everything was ok and that she didnt have a reaction to the anesthesia before they would let us go. Unfortunatly, Davey could not come and help me out so I was alone to help my girly when she woke up from the anesthesia. Definitely not something I recommend, since she was flailing, hitting and kicking me, and screaming her sweet little head off. I knew this was going to happen since she had the anesthesia last year but it was harder doing it alone.

She slept on her couch and I slept on the big couch so we could easily get up and drive out to Phoenix at 5:30 in the morning (Yawn!).
She was so confused and tired the next morning and slept most of the way there. Poor baby girl.
Once we got there, she was up and going full speed and was playing all the toys and greeting other children.
Here we are waiting for the doctor to come talk to use before surgery.
She was in a silly mood and was getting comfortable in her big blue chair.
The last picture I took before saying goodbye to my sweet girl for an hour.
This is sweet Hayley after surgery, sleeping in the car. She was on demerol and quite loopy so she couldnt control her body or make completely understandable sentences for a while. It was sad and while we were at grandma's, her cousins were very confused as to why Hayley couldnt talk well or walk. When I told my nephew Sammy that she couldnt walk because of a medicine to help her, his eyes got wide and he asked, "Will she ever be able to walk again?" I assured him she would and he said, "Ok, that's good." Her cousins really care about her.
Sweet baby girl slept on grandpa's special big chair for most of the afternoon and evening. Llamby was a faithful friend and was there to comfort her throughout this whole process. Though his forehead now has blood stains, we are working to get them out so she can once again cuddle with him. :)
Hayley eating a cracker after she woke up that night. She was crying because she wanted a cheese stick but the hospital said that because it is possible for her to get nauseas with the anesthesia, only bland crackers and liquids for the first day.
Ready to go to bed after a hard day. She looks yucky in some of these pictures because her nose has been draining blood since the surgery. Only a couple of pink tears have shown up but most of the blood has been through her nose and she hates for me to wipe it because it is still sore. So we've just let her look crummy so she would feel better.
