I carried you for 8 months, was on bedrest for 6 of those weeks, and in the hospital 3 days during my pregnancy. We were so young, we had no idea the stress you would bring, nor did we know the joy we could feel from having you as our daughter. Our first born.

You came out so tiny, only 5 pounds...but within days, you were in bows and girly things. Your newborn onesies didnt fit and you would not breastfeed. That first week was hard but we made it through.

You grew up right before my very eyes and though I have about a million happy pictures of you, you were a very hard baby. You cried for no reason and we tried so many different things that only semi helped the problem. We were glad you were growing up---and out of your colic.

Now that you're grown to the age of two, who knew more hard times would come? You hit when you get angry, yell, and test our patience daily. But who knew this sweet smile could make up for every hard time we have with you? Your favorite songs are "I am a child of God" and "I love to see the Temple" (and many others but I love that you love those two songs). You give me loves daily and giggle when we play. Youve taught me that every child is raised differently and you just need some special attention. You are more willing to do things if asked nicely, you stay in time out and understand more if we take the time to explain why you're there, and you always end with saying sorry and giving hugs and kisses. I love you so much, Mahayla Noelle. I could not imagine my life without you. You give our family so much flare and spunk. Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
