Tonight, Hayley learned a lesson. She was having a hard time at the grocery store so I told her if she was good, she could pick out a prize. When we went through the toy/baby aisle, to my surprised, Hayley picked a fake baby bottle for Chloe (aww, sweet!) instead of buying herself some cool toy to play with. I held on to it and told her she had to stay it in the cart in order to get it at the end...she failed the test and got out of the cart about 5 too many times. I finally told her she had lost the baby bottle and could try and be good the next time we go to the store to earn it back. She threw a small fit but I thought she understood me until we got in the car and she said, "I go home, give Chwoh-wee(Chloe) heh(her) bottle!" I explained that she didn't get the bottle and she said, "Ok." When we pull into the garage, she says, "Go isside(inside), give Chwoh-wee(Chloe) heh(her) bottle." Again, I explained that we did not buy the bottle. She got a bit upset but she will not stop talking about the dang thing tonight! She keeps asking me where it is. Hopefully, soon it sinks in that she actually had to earn it and next time she will be good.
I'm trying not to give in to her. I really am. She is just so cute and will melt in my arms and tell me sorry if she does something wrong. Even at the grocery store today, I feel like I gave her more chances than she needed---maybe that's why she kept doing it. Maybe she didnt think I would actually take it away. Im trying harder to be a more consistent mother to her, since I can see that that is what she really needs in this two year old stage of life (and all stages of life). I love my girly so much and cant imagine life without her.

I have to write down one cute thing she said today. As we were driving home, we drove past our neighborhood park and a couple of girls were playing. Hayley noticed them and said, "Mom, wook(look)! Fwends(friends). So cute!" It was so adorably hilarious! I love the random sentences Hayley says. She is the best girl a mom could ask for.
