Happy New Year!!!

We spent our New Years doing two very fun things with two very fun families.

First, we started off our morning with a mexican fiest with the Crockett clan. We ate yummy food, had good company, and in the end, the kids smashed a pinata!

Here are Andersen and Davey watching the kids with the pinata.
Hayley did hit the pinata [with the stick in my hand and hers] but since she was too timid, mom couldnt get any pictures because she (or I) was so busy helping her little girly. So afterwards, I took a picture of her sitting with her friend, Lexi, and her daddy's cousin, Tanner.
Gracie hitting the pinata.
Rylee's turn!
Isaac's turn!

And one last picture fo the morning, my cute little red headed son. Love him! By the way, John ended up breaking the pinata. :)
Later that day, we headed to my parent's for games, firecrackers, and more yummy food. My dad is awesome and ordered Joe's Real BBQ take out for dinner and my sister and brother in law made the creamiest, yummiest cheese ball I've ever had.
Then, it was onto the fireworks!
Does this picture need explaining? Dallen LOVED the fireworks.
"The BIG one. Keep out of reach of children."
Hayley all bundled up, not quite sure what to think of the fireworks.
So Grandma took Hayley back a bit and let her watch from a distance...much better.
I love this picture because it captured the evening just right. In the very right corner, you'll notice Dallen with hands over ears tightly. He loved the bright fireworks but HATED the ones with loud noise. It was sad and funny to watch him run inside when they lit the loud ones up.
Sammy had such a blast and even held some of the firecrackers by himself.
These men were in Heaven. There were so many different fireworks to choose from and they had a blast lighting them up.
Later, Grandma came back out with Hayley bundled in some huge clothes...my boots and Will's jacket. Mostly because we are bad parents and didnt even bring a sweater for Hayley that day.
Plugging her ears during the loud firecrakers.
And at the very end, Hayley asked if she could hold a firecracker. Davey helped her but when he lit it, she did not want to touch it anymore. :)
We had such a fun time and are so grateful to have families that entertain us and deal with us for hours at a time.
Happy 2011!
