Our little princess

Oh my sweet Mahayla.

Hayley is 20 months now---almost 21---and we carry on conversations. Did you hear that? We carry on conversations. Maybe they are not the most in depth conversations but conversations nevertheless!

Today, my mom and I were talking and I said, "Anyway..." and Hayley comes in and says, "Anyway..." and puts her fist under her chin. How much cuter does it get?!

Also today on the phone when I was talking to Davey, she said, "Hi mommy Suzanne." She calls me Suzanne a lot. I don't respond when she does this but it still happens frequently. And everyone else thinks it's hilarious. I'm not devastated over it and dont mind it too much, but I'm not going to answer to it. Only a girl like Hayley would be trying to call her mom by her first name at 20 months. :) That. is. my. Hayley.

One GREAT thing that happened this week was during Andersen's 4 month appt. I wanted to get Hayley's weight and to my surprise, she was 24 pounds! 2 pounds in 2 months is a lot for this girl who has weighed 20 pounds for the last year...and that's no exaggeration. Lately, we have noticed her shirts showing off her belly more (refer back to the post below "When daddy needs some time alone.") and getting tighter. So...Hayley has moved into size 18 mo clothing! It's about time! And that means she needs some new clothes, something I'm very capable and willing to do for her. :) Good thing tax returns are coming! Tonight we bought a few things at Target and seriously, they were cheap AND adorable---two of my favorite things! :)

I sure love this little princess of ours. She grows and learns every day. Her favorite songs to sing are "Twinkle Twinkle", "Wheels on the Bus", and "You are my sunshine". Hearing your daughter try to follow along and sing songs with you has got to be the most precious thing.

Don't feel bad about her calling you Suzanne. Annalie has been calling daddy Nick for almost a year. She thinks it's funny and we just kind of laugh it off. I figure she'll outgrow it (plus it's really cute when she yells it in public).
