A day in the sun

The other day, it was HOT outside but we really wanted to get out of the house. I decided to put together the bike trailer and take the kids on a ride. We got all the way to the end of our driveway and then a pin on the trailer broke. Awesome since that is the first time Ive used the thing......Instead, we went on a walk and some of our neighbor friends were playing in this water and invited Hayley to join them. She walked around a bit but I told her if she got her clothes wet, we couldnt go to the big park so she chose to stay pretty dry.

Here's is Andersen at the park. It's hard for him to not be walking and have to sit in the stroller while she plays (I cant bear to put his poor knees on the hot cement) so we get creative. That day, we took some water bottles so I kept pouring water on his head and these are the faces he made. Dont you love the fly on his head in the first picture? And dont mind the fact that he's in a pink flower stroller...that's what happens when you have an older sister.

Hayley was tired and didnt want to walk home so I doubled up the kids in the single stroller. :) It actually works pretty well.

The next day, we were driving somewhere and Hayley complained of it being too bright on her eyes so I handed her some sunglasses and she rode in style. She now insists on wearing her sunglasses every time we get in the car. I love that she put them on upsidedown. :)
