Last Monday, I planned to take my two younger siblings on a field trip. I do habilitation with them and one of the things they need to learn is how to recognize emergency helpers in our community (firefighters, police, etc). My friend, Annie's, dad is a firefighter and so I asked if we could take a tour at his station.

Here is their huge kitchen. Man, I wish I could have a kitchen with that much space. ha!

The lounge area. {Annie was talking to one of the firefighters watching tv}

Hayley and Graycee playing on the fire pole.

Will posing in front of one of the trucks.

Steve {Annie's dad, our tour guide} let the kids load up and take a ride in his special firetruck.

Baby Weston stayed back with his momma (so did Andersen)

You can see a couple of the kids in the window.

Steve even showed them how he sprays the water if a plane catches fire. There was such a beautiful rainbow below the water.

Driving back into the garage.

Steve showing the kids how he goes down the fire pole.

Sammy got the try on the suit. He was supposed to be the only one...

...but Hayley kept bugging Steve and I guess he couldnt resist her sweet face so he let her try everything on. It was HUGE on her.

Will checking out the work out room.

Steve's dorm room. I always expected fire fighters to sleep on bunk beds all in one huge room but at this station, they all have their own rooms!

Hayley and Dallen out on the balcony.

The kids playing in the grass below.
Hayley was jumping off of some bricks and scraped her stomach pretty bad. I felt so bad for her. If you say anything about her stomach, she will still show you the "owie" even though you cant see anything there anymore. :)
We had such a blast. Thank you, Annie, for setting that up for me!
