"Lala"

Oh how does she keep getting so much older? This picture would fit right in an elementary school yearbook. Miss Mahayla is turning 3 in just over a month and I'm not sure I have come to terms with it yet. Her talking is phenomenal. There are not many things she doesnt understand. The new word she's been using lately is 'spectatular' because Fancy Nancy says it in the book we checked out at the library.

Hayley insists on wearing dresses...all the time. Tomorrow, I'll be going to the store to buy a new needle for my sewing machine so I can whip her up a couple of summer skirts. My mother in law said she would make her a couple also so hopefully between that, she'll have some more dresses/skirts to add to her collection and let her be as girly as she wants. Not only does she hate pants, she hates leggings or anything else under her dresses [other than her underwear, obviously]. It's actually kind of annoying but oh well. I love her. :)

Hayley also likes to tell us her name is no longer Hayley [hmm, her name actually isnt Hayley in the first place. ha!]. Andersen pronounces her name "Lala" and she LOVES it. She is always begging the rest of us to call her "Lala" as well. We dont ever call her that but she makes up for it by talking to herself in the third person and calling herself "Lala". :)

Hayley loves to help in the kitchen. Yesterday, we were over at my parents and Grandma asked Hayley to make bread with her.

Hayley loves cooking, especially when it involves the Bosch. She loves helping my mom or I measure everything out and then she gets to turn the Bosch on.

And then she stares at it while it turns round and round.

When they make bread together [this isnt the first time]. my mom always lets Hayley have her own piece of dough to knead through while my mom kneads the big batch.

She rolls it, throws it on the table, flattens it, and tries to copy everything Grandma is doing with her dough.

My mom even has a bunch of tiny pans for Hayley to make her own little bread in. It's quite adorable.

I love my Hayley-do. She is such a joy and has been such a good girl lately. She listens well most of the time and loves to help me with whatever I'm doing.
